Professor Simon X. Yang

Professor Simon X. Yang is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering. He received hisB.Sc. degree in Technical Physics from Peking University in 1987, hisM.Sc. degree in Biophysics from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1990, hisM.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Houston, USA, in 1996, and his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Alberta, Canada, in 1999. He is currently a tenured Full Professor at the University of Guelph, Canada, where he also serves as the Director of the Advanced Robotics and Intelligent Systems Laboratory.

His research interests and academic contributions primarily focus on mobile robot path planning and control, multi-sensor information fusion, wireless sensor networks, and intelligent computation and optimization. He is recognized as one of the pioneers in applying bio-inspired approaches to robotics and control systems. He has published over 650 academic papers, including more than 380 journal articles. His Google Scholar h-index is 70, and his SCI h-index is 64. Since 2022, he has been consistently listed among the World's Top 2% Most Highly Cited Scientists.

Prof. Yan Zhang

Professor Yan Zhang is a full professor at the School of Information and Communication Engineering, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). He is a Fellow of both IEEE and IET, a member of the European Academy of Sciences, a member of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters, and a member of the Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences. He is also a National Distinguished Expert and has been recognized as a Clarivate Analytics "Highly Cited Researcher". Prof. Zhang currently serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics and holds editorial positions on several other leading IEEE journals. He is the Chair of the IEEE ComSoc Technical Committee on Satellite, Space, and Terrestrial Communications, and previously served as Chair of the IEEE Technical Committee on Green Computing and Communications. His research interests include intelligent networking and communications, as well as intelligent and secure Internet of Things (IoT). He has published extensively, with over 53,000 citations and an H-index of 118. He is the author of academic books including Mobile Edge Computing and Digital Twin. Among his many accolades, he has received the Nanyang Technological University Alumni Achievement Award and the IEEE Technical Committee on Green Communications and Computing Distinguished Technical Achievement Award.

Professor Xin Luo

Professor Xin Luo is an IEEE Fellow, an AAIA Fellow, and a recipient of the National High-Level Leading Talent designation. He currently serves as Dean of the College of Computer and Information Science · Software Engineering, and as a Second-Level Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Southwest University, China. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and his Ph.D. in Engineering from Beihang University. He previously conducted postdoctoral research as a "Hong Kong Scholar" at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His research interests primarily focus on data science, artificial intelligence, and intelligent control. He has published over 400 academic papers, including those in prestigious international journals such as IEEE T-PAMI, T-KDE, and T-NNLS, as well as in leading conferences such as WWW and KDD. His publications have received over 22,000 citations on Google Scholar, with an h-index of 87, and over 13,000 citations on Web of Science. Since 2022, he has been continuously listed in the Stanford-Elsevier World's Top 2% Scientists "Career-Long Impact" ranking and the Elsevier "China Highly Cited Scholars" list.

Prof. Dave Towey

University of Nottingham Ningbo China

Professor Dave Towey is a full professor and Head of the School of Computer Science at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China, and also serves as Deputy Director of the International Doctoral Innovation Centre (IDIC). He holds a BA and an MA from Trinity College Dublin, and a PhD from the University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on software testing, with particular interests in metamorphic testing and adaptive random testing, and he is currently especially interested in testing so-called "untestable systems" such as those involving big data and machine learning. He has worked on breast cancer screening tool development in Japan, at the University of Hong Kong, and at United International College (UIC) in Zhuhai before joining the University of Nottingham Ningbo China in 2013. He received the Zhuhai Municipal Outstanding Teacher Award (2007) and the Lord Dearing Award (2017) in recognition of his contributions to teaching and student learning.
